“Go forth and set the world on fire”, the words of the great saint Ignatius Loyala impelled, the students of St Agnes PU College to explore their life’s journey in this globe coupled with the teachings and the values St Agnes cherishes.
The Valedictory programme was held on the 13th of January 2018 in the College auditorium. The programme commenced with a prayer service comprising of a prayer dance, invoking God’s blessings through intercessory prayers, and the cabinet members associated themselves with gifts from nature like pearl, coconut, hands, rock, salt, incense sticks, seeds, water deriving strength and significance from these.
Ashlyn welcomed the gathering. The students of I year sang a farewell song followed by a skit which depicted the life of a person in the hands of God and the relevance of the motto ‘ God is my strength’ was emphasized, and concluded with a dance.
Diya Alva of II Commerce, Princia Albuquerque of II Science and Harshitha of II Arts voiced out their sentiments and experiences of their stay in the College for the past two years.
Stacey Coutinho the student president, shared her feelings and addressed the gathering for the last time. The members of the cabinet laid down the office and handed over the College flag to the principal which was then passed on to the I year students. Sr Shamita A.C, the principal delivered the farewell message to the out going students and administered the oath to all the students.
Mafazha proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme concluded by reciting the College anthem ‘God is our strength’.
