St Agnes PU College celebrated the girl child day on October 25, 2021 organised by ‘Abhaya’ the college womens’ forum. Dr Poornima, RMO, DNB trainer at General Hospital Jayanagar graced the occasion as the guest of honour. Ms Carol Lobo, Faculty member of Mathematics welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Dr Poornima on the occasion addressed the gathering and emphasised on women education which enables her to be independent and decision maker. She stressed on the challenges faced by the girl child due to social media.
On the great occasion to assist the covid-hit families ‘WE CARE’ project was inaugurated by the Principal of the college.
Dr Tressie Menezes, the co-ordinator of ‘Abhaya’ read the annual report of ‘Abhaya’, scholarship was disbursed to the meritorious students to aid them in their academic journey.
A dance drama was performed depicting the profound will power of a woman and the inner brawn of a woman was conveyed through a song. The programme was compered by Ms Haleema Shiza. Ms Ivin Sequeira proposed the vote of thanks,
