St. Agnes PU College observed Independence Day Celebration to commemorate the nation’s independence. The flag hoisting by the Principal Sr.Shamita was followed by a cultural programme consisting of a mime on religious integration followed by a medley of patriotic songs and a dance drama depicting the valour and heroism of our soldiers who fight on the borders to protect the sovereignty of our country. The chief guest Dr.Clement Suresh D’Souza spoke on the need to recognize the true potential in every child and to guard against the desire to straitjacket children as per societal expectations. He explained how academic excellence alone is not a true measure of success in life and how we need to draw upon a wide pool of talents to make a vibrant India.
